An
Old Maori Saying "The Kumera doesn't say it's sweet, you have
to taste it to know"
-
Wish you were here at Mount Tutu Eco-Sanctuary!
"What
is this life if, full of care
We
have no time to stand and stare.
No
time to stand beneath the boughs
And
stare as long as sheep or cows.
No
time to see, in broad daylight
Streams
full of stars, like skies at night.
A
poor life this if, full of care,
We
have no time to stand and stare."
Wm.
Henry Davies (1871- 1940) abridged

Colin
Gibson (abridged)
“These
hills where the hawk flies lonely, rivers
running strong and clear, forests
where the tree ferns tower,
these are our care
Pastures
where the sheep graze calmly,
orchards where the apples grow,
gardens where the roses cluster,
these are our prayer..”
